DISCLAIMER — This resource was first intended as for private use of the members of the arachnology lab of Museu Nacional, but later we thought "why not to share this with the world?". Eventually if greedy lawyers (redundance...) start to bother us with copyright matters, etc, we may have to be forced to quit the project and keep this just to ourselves.

Research interests: (1) Systematics and faunistics of Opiliones (Arachnida), and (2) General ecology and taxonomy of Testacida (Protozoa), including their use in biotesting. "I have been interested in Opiliones since 1996. Since 1998 also started a research on the testate amoebae, which resulted in a successful defence of the PhD thesis and over 10 papers on Testacea (Protozoa) published to date."

Current Research Projects include: (1) A taxonomic study of the harvestmen of Lenkoran (Azerbaijan), (2) A taxonomic revision of the harvestmen of Middle Asia (together with A.N.Chemeris); and (3) Taxonomic and ecological studies of the testate amoebae (Protozoa: Testacea) of Lenkoran (Azerbaijan).
